All plans include the WordPress installer and management tools via Plesk.

Installing WordPress

Step 1

In Plesk go to WordPress → Install.

Step 2

Select the domain, set the site title, admin username, password, and email, then click Install.

SSL first

Install your SSL certificate before WordPress so the site is set up with HTTPS from the start. See SSL Certificates.

Managing WordPress

WordPress Toolkit

Plesk includes the WordPress Toolkit — use it to:

  • Update WordPress core, themes, and plugins in one click
  • Clone a site for staging
  • Enable/disable maintenance mode
  • Manage security hardening settings

Cloning for Staging

Test before you deploy

Go to WordPress → click your site → Clone to create a staging copy on a subdomain. Test changes there before pushing to production.

Security

Keep WordPress updated

Go to WordPress → Updates regularly. Outdated plugins and themes are the most common cause of compromised sites.

Security scan

WordPress Toolkit includes a Security Check — run it after install and periodically to catch misconfigurations.
