๐ฐ Understanding Balance, Deductions & Usage Charges
โ TL;DR
| Item | Charges Apply When... |
|---|---|
| Cloud Server | The VM exists. Powering it off changes nothing |
| IPv4 / Snapshots / Backups | Enabled regardless of VM power state |

Your account balance funds all your active services.
Depending on the product, charges are applied hourly or daily.
โฑ๏ธ What "Hourly" Actually Means
You pay for the VM existing, not for it running
A cloud server is billed for every hour it exists, from creation until deletion. Powering it off does not stop or reduce the charge: the CPU, RAM, and disk stay reserved for you on the node whether you use them or not.
The hourly rate is simply the monthly price spread across the month. The minimum billable unit is 1 hour.
๐ What Stops the Charges
Deletion, and only deletion
Deleting the VM is the only thing that ends billing. Shutting down, stopping the VM, or leaving it idle does not.
The same applies to add-ons: IPv4 addresses, snapshots, and backups keep billing until you remove them, independently of the VM's power state.
๐ What Reduces Balance
Charged by usage
- Active cloud servers
- IPv4 addresses, snapshots, backups, extra disks
- Any addโons youโve enabled
๐งฎ Examples
Daily cost breakdown
- VPS (โฌ15/mo) โ ~โฌ0.50/day
- Backup (โฌ5/mo) โ ~โฌ0.17/day
(Charged separately on top of the VPS)
๐ค Why Balance Drops โBy Itselfโ
Common causes
- You have active services (even if powered off)
- Backups/snapshots are still enabled
- Large uploads/downloads can trigger higher network billing
๐ Where to Check Deductions
Navigate to:
Where to Check
- Panel โ Billing โ Usage History
for itemized deductions. Youโll find an itemized list of all charges deducted from your balance.
